Vikram Joshi Death
The journalist was shot in the head at Ghaziabad near Delhi on Monday night on 20 July 2020 when he was traveling on his motorcycle with his two daughters and a group of men assaulted him and shot him on his head. The incident took place near his residence in Vijay Nagar, Ghaziabad.
The journalist took his last breathe on today’s morning at the hospital when doctors declared him dead as his head got badly damaged with the bullet injury.
After the incident police inquiry started and with the help of CCTV video footage it was found that Vikram Joshi was lying on road wounded, and his daughters were found weeping and screaming around for help.
The police arrested all the nine accused and only one man is still absconding. In this case, two police officials were also have been suspended.

The journalist’s family stated that some days before this incident he filed a complaint against four men for harassing her niece and as a result of police incompetence he paid the price.
The family also protested outside the hospital where he declared dead and refused to allow the body to be taken for post-mortem. After this, the State Government announced a compensation of 10 lakh rupees for the family.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Ghaziabad has quoted that police have been looking into the issue and all main accused are under their arrest and even they also seized the weapon involved in the crime and will take strict actions against those who have been found guilty in this incident.
Along with many other political leaders takes a dig at the current law and order situation in the state of Uttar Pradesh and criticized the state government over this incident.
Now, this incident took the shape of a political fight between the ruling government and the opposition parties. We expressed our deepest condolence to the journalist’s family and hope that just will be served as soon as possible.
UP CM Yogi Adityanath has announced a compensation of Rs 10 lakh for Vikram Joshi family and government job.
After this opposition parties started taking a dig at the ruling government as Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in his tweet stated that “They promised Ram Rajya and delivered Goondaraj”.
BSP president Mayawati also tweeted that “Crimes are increasing rapidly around Uttar Pradesh and this incident makes it clear that the law of jungle is prevailing in the state”.
