Kapoor got her first opportunity in the film industry.
Through Teen Patti, a 2010 movie in which she played the character of a college girl. Despite getting a nomination for the Best Female Debut at the Filmfare Awards for Teen Patti, the movie failed at the box office. Her next project was Luv Ka The End, in which she played the part of a teenage girl who plans revenge on her boyfriend.
Later, she signed one of the biggest and most important projects of her life “Aashiqui 2” alongside Aditya Roy Kapoor in 2013.
She played as Arohi (a small-town singer who achieves fame and success after meeting a popular male singer). The movie was a big hit and it earned over INR 1.09 billion. The same year, she played a brief role in Gori Tere Pyar Mein alongside Emraan Khan and Kareena Kapoor.
Shraddha was featured in Ek Villain opposite Siddhartha Malhotra in 2014.
