Patel started off her acting career with the 1986 film “Janam”, which was directed by Mahesh Bhatt. She was featured with Kumar Gaurav. Shernaz bagged her first English theatre opportunity with Rahul Da Cunha’s English play. She became part of this popular play in 1992.
Shernaz has done many films. In 2005, she was seen in the movie Black. She worked alongside Amitabh Bachchan and Rani Mukherjee. The movie performed well at the box office.
In the next three years, she appeared in seven movies, i.e. Family – Ties of Blood, Dum Kaata, Big Brother, Humko Deewana Kar Gaye, Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal, The President is Coming, and Little Zizou.
