She was born in a Hindu Family, her father is a musician working in All India Radio, his name is Kamal Gupta, her mother name is Maitreyi Gupta, Maitreyi is a government officer working in BSNL Kolkata. Sayani has two brothers Bhairav Gupta and Ahir Gupta. She has lots of followers on her Instagram account and she used to share her pictures there with her family and friends. Sayani has said in an interview that she is very close to her mother in her family.
Career
Sayani used to participate in many stage shows and acting sketches in her college ‘Film and Television Institute of India’. She made her debut in the Indian Film Industry in 2012, from a movie named ‘Second Marriage Dot Com’. But she got her first recognition from audiences and critics for her role in the 2015 movie ‘Margarita with straw’. After that, she has done many movie and web series projects. She has done two more movies in 2015 named ‘Parched’ as ‘Champa’, and in ‘Leeches’ as ‘Raisa’. In 2016 she is a part of a big movie produced by ‘Red Chillies Entertainment’ with ‘Shahrukh Khan’ named as ‘Fan’, in the same year she got a role of ‘Chitra’ in ‘Baar Baar Dekho’ and ‘Aarti’ in ‘Call Waiting’. 2017 was a very special part of her career where she acted in 5 Bollywood movies including a big commercially successful film ‘Jolly LLB 2’ where she has done a very important role of ‘Hina Siddiqui’ whose husband got shot in a fake encounter.
