Sachin Pilot is a well-known politician in Indian politics. He is currently the deputy chief minister of Rajasthan state. He majorly contests election from the Indian national congress party and is one of the prominent leaders in the Rajasthan’s congress.

The politician was brought into existence on the 07th September in 1977 in Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India. He was born and brought up in a well-to-do Hindu family in Uttar Pradesh. He completed his early schooling from Air Force Bal Bharati School, New Delhi. After that, he enrolled himself at St. Stephen College, the University of Delhi from where he completed his graduate course in Bachelor of Arts. He also completed a diploma in marketing from I.M.T. Ghaziabad, India, and completed an MBA course from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, USA.
Since childhood, he was inclined towards politics as he belongs to a political family and his father was a very known politician at that time. He always wanted to be a successful politician like his father in his future. He also wanted to be a successful pilot but due to his weak eyesight, he was not able to qualify.

The politician belongs to a well-settled political family from Uttar Pradesh. He follows the Hindu religion and holds an Indian nationality. His father Rajesh Pilot was a well-known politician at that time and also served as a Union Minister of India, his father was also a part of the Indian National Congress party. His mother Rama Pilot is also a member of a congress party and a homemaker. He also has one sibling her sister Sarika Pilot, his brother-in-law Omar Abdullah is also one of the famous politicians in Indian politics. Career
The politician started his career with his employment at the Delhi Bureau of the British Broadcasting Corporation and after that, he was employed at the American multinational corporation general motors for nearly two years. After that, he started his career in politics and contested the 2004 Lok Sabha elections from the Dausa constituency at the age of 26 and became the youngest MP in India at that time. After that, he contested the election from the Ajmer seat and won the election with a fair margin of 76000 votes against the Bharatiya Janata Party’s leader Kiran Maheshwari.
He also served as a member of Lok Sabha’s standing committee of Home affairs and the member of the Consultative Committee in the Ministry of Civil aviation in 2009. After that, he also served as the minister of Corporate Affairs in the Manmohan Singh Government in 2012.
In 2014 he again contested the Lok Sabha elections from the Ajmer constituency but this time he was defeated by a huge margin. After that the same year he was appointed as the president of the Rajasthan State congress committee. In 2018 he contested Legislative assembly elections from the Tonk constituency and won the election, it was considered that congress party has won the state’s election with Pilot’s hard work and for his dedication, he was awarded the post of deputy chief minister of Rajasthan State in the Ashok Gehlot’s ministry. Currently, he is serving at the same post as the deputy chief minister of the Rajasthan state.
Apart from his political career, he was also posted as the officer in the territorial army which fulfill his desire of becoming a member of the armed forces, and for his service in the territorial army, he is recognized as the Lieutenant pilot and also became the first union minister in India to be commissioned at that post in 2012.
Controversies
The politician found himself in a controversy when he challenged the Bharatiya Janata Party’s controversial ordinances from taking up cases against legislators, ministers, and officials without the government’s sanctions and prevent media from naming public servants involved in corruption cases in the Rajasthan High court in October 2017.
Currently, he is in news for his tussle with the Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot. He is not attending party meetings and is rumored to be in talks with the opposition party as he holds the support of 16 MLAs from the party and also 3 independent MLAs which is enough to rule down the existing government in the Rajasthan state. The situation is getting complicated day by day and now the situation is briefed to party president Mrs. Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi. They sent a team of three senior leaders from the party to handle the situation and have talked with Sachin Pilot and solve all the conflicts between the party leaders.
They are afraid because earlier they lost the Government in Madhya Pradesh due to the same situation, which arises due to the tussle between their senior party leaders. This time they stated that they are confirmed that they handle this situation this time and won’t allow another scenario like Madhya Pradesh.
