After completing her graduation, she started working as a research and development analyst and later she worked as a business development manager at “Zifo Technologies”.
Ramya Pandian started her acting career with her debut appearance in a short film, “Maane Theyne Ponamaane” (2015) directed by Mani Ratnam’s assistant director, Shelley.
Later she auditioned a role in Balaji Sakthivel’s film, “Ra Ra Rajasekhar”, but the film did not materialise due to some personal reasons.
In 2015, she made her big-screen debut with the romance – comedy movie “Dummy Tappasu” as Soumya.
Since then she appeared in popular Tamil movies like Joker (2016) as Malliga and Aan Devathai (2018) as a mother who works for an IT company.
In 2017, Jocker film received the National Award in the Best Regional Film category, in which she played the role of a village belle.
