Mahant Nritya Gopal Das is the head of Ayodhya temple “The Mani Ram Das Ki Chavani”, and also the chief of the Ramjanambhoomi Nyas which is a trust formed by Vishva Hindu Parishad in 1993 to promote and oversee the construction of Ram Janambhoomi Temple.
Nritya Gopal Das was found corona positive on 12 August 2020, he is suffering from fever and has mild breathlessness. Doctor’s have updated that his condition is not serious as they checked his oxygen level which is found saturated.
Later, Mahant Ji was shifted to Medanta Hospital in Gurugram, Haryana for further treatment.
He shared the stage on 5 August with some of the well-known figures in India like Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

Born on 11 June 1938, Nritya Gopal Das’s Age is 82 Years as of 2020. He was born and brought up in a middle-class Brahmin family in Kerhala village in Mathura district, Uttar Pradesh, India.
He completed his early schooling from a government school in Mathura and after that he enrolled himself at Lala Ram College in Mathura but later on he left his studies as he was not satisfied with the traditional pattern of education.
After that, he went to Ayodhya and was initiated into the Diksha Sanskar by Mahant Ram Manohar Das. He also encouraged him to learn Sanskrit. As a result, he enrolled himself at Sanskrit University in Varanasi from where he completed his graduate course and graduated as Shastri.

Nritya Gopal Das was installed as a Mahant in a grand ceremony that took place in Ayodhya in 1965. He became the head of the “Shri Mani Ram Das Chavni” after Shri Mani Ram Das Maharaj.
This temple is one of the main attractions in the city of Ayodhya. He also involved in the development of many temples in Ayodhya like “Ramayan Bhavan”, “Shri Char Dham Temple”, and “Shri Rangnath Temple”.
He was also associated with the movement for the Ram Janambhoomi Temple and became the chief of the Ramjanambhoomi Nyas in 2003. After that he leads the movement from the front, demanding the construction of Ramjanambhoomi Temple as soon as possible.
On 5 August 2020, their dream came true as Ramjanambhoomi Temple’s groundbreaking ceremony took place in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, India after the 550 years old conflict was resolved as the decision of the Supreme Court came in favor of the construction of Ramjanambhoomi Temple in Ayodhya.
