18-year-old Knauss started modeling in Milan, Italy. In the year 1992, she was runner-up in Ljubljana’s Jana “Look of the Year” competition and won an international modeling contract.
Knauss worked as a model in Paris and Milan, where she met her future husband, Donald Trump’s acquaintance Paolo Zampolli. Zampolli pushed her to the U.S. to get representation. Knauss moved to the UES in 1996. She’ll reside with photographer Matthew Atamian in Union Square.
French men’s magazine Max released sexually explicit photos of Knauss and another model in January 1996.
In January 2000, she posed naked atop a fur-lined Boeing 727 for GQ’s cover. In the year 2016, Trump said: “Melania was one of the most successful models in the industry. Before I met Melania, it was taken for a European magazine.
This picture is common throughout Europe.” Link to further info:
She started her QVC jewelry line in 2010. She established a Melania Marks Skin Care Collection in high-end stores. A financial report says her businesses received $15,000 to $50,000 in royalties in 2016. In 2017, her two licensees stopped producing jewelry and skincare products.
