She made the headlines after her family registered an FIR against actress Rhea Chakraborty and her family for being accused of abetment of suicide, breaching of trust, and fraud in the Sushant’s suicide case.

She made the headlines when her brother Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide on 14 June 2020. After one month Meetu and her family registered an FIR against Rhea Chakraborty and her family for being accused of abetment of suicide, forgery, and money laundering.
They also requested the CBI probe into the case as they stated that Mumbai Police is not investigating the case properly and went to the Supreme Court for justice to her brother. On their request, Bihar Government requested the central government for the CBI probe in the case and the central government approved their request and allowed the CBI probe into the case.
She was also interrogated and questioned by Enforcement Directorate in the Sushant Singh Rajput’s suicide case. She also posted a heartfelt note on her social media handles in the memory of her late brother on the occasion of the Raksha Bandhan on 03 August 2020.
