After that incident, many petitions were filed at the Kerala high court seeking a ban on the magazine as according to them the magazine’s cover has violated provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences. The State Child Rights Commission also filed a complaint against her, but the court rejected all the petitions and stated that obscenity lies in the crotch of the beholder.
