The suspended doctor was brought into existence in 1982 in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh India. He was born and brought up in a well-settled educated family in Uttar Pradesh. He completed his early schooling from a private school in his hometown. After that, he completed his MBBS degree from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal, Karnataka, India, and after that completed his MD degree in Pediatrics from Manipal University, Karnataka.
Since childhood, he was a meritorious student and always wanted to work for the welfare of society and wanted to pursue his career in the medical field.

Career/Controversies
The doctor started his career as an assistant professor in SIIMS, Gangtok, Sikkim. After that in 2016, he was appointed as a permanent lecturer in BRD medical college Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. He also owned a private nursing home named “Medispring Children Hospital” at Azad Chowk in Gorakhpur. During his service in the medical college, an unforgettable incident took place in which 60 children died due to the shortage of oxygen supply in the medical college on 10th of August 2017.
According to media reports Khan had arranged the oxygen cylinders on his own and came out as a hero in the incident. But later on the 13th of August 2017, the Uttar Pradesh government had refused all the allegations regarding the supply cut of oxygen in the hospital due to non-payment of dues. The government further stated that it was his duty but he was not available there as he was carrying out his practice at a private clinic. They removed him from the post of nodal officer in charge of the encephalitis ward and an FIR was registered against him and other on-duty officers after the complaint by the DG Health, KK Gupta.
He was arrested on 02nd of September and the court has issued a non-bailable warrant against him. After his arrest the doctor stated that he informed all the higher officials regarding the shortage of oxygen cylinder at the medical college, he even stated that he also begged in front of the local oxygen suppliers and told them to arrange oxygen cylinders immediately from nearby hospitals, but no one responded on time. After that, he went out to arrange the oxygen cylinders and also informed DIG of police to arrange a truck and manpower for the delivery of the oxygen cylinders.
He also stated that police had harassed his family and also the chief minister Yogi Adityanath expressed anger towards him. In 2018 the Indian Medical Association released a statement in defense of Khan and around 200 doctors and other activists wrote a letter to the Chief minister in Khan’s support and demand justice for him. After that, an inquiry was conducted over the incident and it was found that the doctor was not guilty. On the 25th of April 2018, he was released from jail as no evidence was found against him.
After his release from the jail, his brother was attacked by some strangers, but with God’s grace, he survived the attack. After the incident, Khan claimed that this was carried out by the Bharatiya Janta Party’s MP, Kamlesh Paswan, and his men. Later on, he also stated that he had gone bankrupt as people didn’t support him and his brother in their businesses as they were afraid of the anger of the Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
After this incident, he was also arrested for his anti-CAA speech in December 2019 and an FIR was registered against him at the civil lines police station, after that, he was brought to Aligarh and then shifted to Mathura’s jail. Police officials stated that they had done this for the precautionary measures against the protest held at AMU campus. In 2009 he was also arrested for being accused in a rape case.
