Family, Boyfriend & Relationships
Deepika Padukone was born in a family of Saraswat Brahmins to Konkani-speaking parents. She is the daughter of the celebrated badminton player Prakash Padukone, who was declared as a World No. 1 badminton player in 1980, and Ujjala Padukone, a travel agent. She also has a younger sister Anisha Padukone, who is a golfer.
Deepika is married to Ranveer Singh, also a popular Bollywood actress who has been seen quite frequently beside Deepika on-screen and has made a list of hit movies together, on November 14, 2018.
Deepika has seen a range of boyfriends that the media has presented before us from time to time. It all started with Nihaar Pandya, a Mumbai-based model, who had studied together with Deepika in Mumbai’s Actor Prepares and has also been a co-model of Deepika. The actress dated him for a couple of years after coming from Bangalore to Mumbai.
The next person was Upen Patel, who was allegedly dated by Deepika for a brief period when they were involved in some photoshoots together.
The third person involved with the gorgeous Bollywood diva was none other than our very own former Indian skipper M.S Dhoni. They were in fact in deep love with each other and both of them were teased by their fellow cricketers and movie stars. However, it wasn’t as serious as to stay.
Yuvraj Singh was the next person who was involved with Deepika Padukone. The cricketer was spotted on numerous occasions outside with Deepika, which spread the rumors of them dating each other. The Bollywood actress seemed to be loved by the Indian cricketers back then.
This time it was someone from the movies and arguably the person who enjoyed the most talked about relationship with Deepika Padukone. This was none other than Ranbir Kapoor, the son of Rishi Kapoor and a doting actor of Bollywood movies. The relationship that Ranbir and Deepika enjoyed is one of the most serious and long-lasting relationships that Deepika had ever experienced. However, this also did not last long enough to achieve permanence. The relationship was haywire when Ranbir fell for Katrina Kaif while shooting Ajab Prem ki Ghazab Kahani. Besides, rumor had it that Neetu Singh didn’t approve of Deepika Padukone as Ranbir’s wife.
Deepika also gained a lot of attention after she fell for Siddharth Mallya, the son of the notorious Vijay Mallya, and was an unmistakable sight at the IPL matches when Bangalore played any other teams. They were even vocal about their relationship. However, it was not simply materialized.
Muzammil Ibrahim was the last person who was gossiped to have a relationship with Deepika. Muzzamil was a model-turned-actor who was the winner of Gladrags Manhunt 2003. They were allegedly together for a brief period when both of them abstained from being open about their relationship. Muzzamil was also allegedly offered a role in Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani after they broke but he turned it down saying that he would not be comfortable in being cast opposite Deepika.
