It was the returning flight under the Vande Bharat mission to bring back the Indians who have stuck abroad due to the COVID-19 situation.
There was heavy rain in Kerala when they reached the Kozhikode airport and during the landing, the plane got crashed and broke into parts and drop down 30 feet after crashing the Airport’s boundary wall. Deepak Vasant Sathe lost his life in this accident with other 19 people. The rescue team reached the site and rescued 170 passengers and others were admitted to the nearby hospital.
