Death
Christina Grimmie took her last breathe on 10 June 2016 when she was shot dead by a 27-year-old Kevin James Loibl after a stage performance. After the incident, she was rushed to the nearby Orlando Regional Medical Centre where she was declared dead by the doctors. As per the reports, she was shot once in her head and twice in her chest, later her death was declared as a homicide. Kevin James Loibl also shot himself dead.
Her remains were buried at Berlin Cemetry on 16 June 2016 and the next day thousand of her friends and followers attended the public memorial held at Medford, New Jersey. After this incident, many popular celebrities across the world took to social media and paid their condolences to the departed soul. In the year 2017, her family founded The Christina Grimmie Foundation in her honor which supports those affected by gun violence or breast cancer. On her second anniversary, a podcast titled Christina Grimmie The Murder of a Rising Star was released as a tribute to her.
