Since childhood, Alix Lapri had a curiousness about music. In mid-2011, Alix remixed Keisha, one of the songs by Jawan Harris, and released its cover. It gained immense popularity on BET’s 106 & Park. Lapri’s remix became widely popular among his fandom, proving beneficial for her.
The following month, along with her friend from the same label, Jacob Latimore, they did a recording of a cover of My Boo, a song by Usher and Alicia Keys. Later in December, Jawan Harris released his mixtape named Its On, in which Alix was featured. Lapri did a recording of a remix cover of Marvin & Chardonnay, a song by Big Sean, later renamed to Chris Brown and Kool-Aid.
