Connie Britton kickstarted her acting career with Caroline Kava’s The Early Girl, which she played at The Courtyard Playhouse while still studying at the Neighbourhood Playhouse.
The role of Laurel, a seasoned prostitute that Britton played opposite Cooper Laurence, who starred as Joan was so good that she was almost ousted from the Neighbourhood Playhouse that prohibited its students from taking professional employment while they were still attending the course.
Britton graduated and then spent 2 more years working in off-Broadway theatre productions. Connie made her feature film debut with The Brothers McMullen, the success of which saw her move to Los Angeles.
