Jin started his career as a model with a famous South Korean cosmetics brand “Etude House”. After that, he joined BTS, a South Korean music band as a vocalist.
And he debuted his album “2 Cool 4 Skool” with other vocalists.

As per reports, Jin was given a proposal to join BTS and was scouted on the streets by Big Hit Entertainment, one of the popular K-pop agencies in South Korea, but he rejected the proposal as he wanted to be an actor, not a singer. Later he signed the agreement and started his singing career by chance. He is photography lover.
Jin is a lover of mankind and gives grants to many welfare trusts and organizations.
He secretly donates a sum of money to UNICEF Korea monthly. In 2018, he donated various suppliers to the Korean Animal Welfare Association and 321 kg of food to the Korea Animal Rights Advocates.
